Mary Ann " Mert" (Potter) Traylor

Mary Ann Traylor, age 83, of Lloyd, KY, left this world to be with our Lord on Saturday April 6th 2024 at her home surrounded by the love and warmth of her daughters and their spouses, grandchildren, and beloved friends. Mary Ann better known as “Mert” was born at home on March 2, 1941, in Greenup, KY. Mary Ann was the beloved daughter of the late Gladys Evelyn Johnson and Issac Sherman Potter. She was a loving wife to the late David Eugene Traylor, a devoted mother to Armelia and Katherine, and cherished sister to her siblings.

Mary Ann is survived by a host of family. Her two daughters, Armelia Easterday and spouse Eric Easterday of Chillicothe, Ohio, Katherine Haney-Howard and spouse Bo Howard of Ashland, KY, four grandchildren Johnathan Haney and spouse Tyler Hensley of Lexington, KY, Christopher Haney and spouse Hayley Haney of Ashland, KY, and brothers Evan and Aiden Easterday of Chillicothe, OH, and one great-grandson, Carson Lee Haney. In addition, she was an extended Mamaw to a multitude of children she loved and cared for. She also leaves behind a host of friends she spoke of often.

Mary Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lloyd in Lloyd, Kentucky for almost two decades.

Mary Ann was known for her kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter. She had a passion for family, friendship, and the Lord and could often be found out and about visiting friends and family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary Ann Traylor will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and unwavering love of family and friends. May she rest in peace in the hands of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral Services will be held 1 P.M. Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Lloyd Community Baptist Church 336 Anvil Rock Road Greenup, KY 41144 with Kit Meade officiating. Burial will follow at MT Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour. Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, KY., are caring for arrangements.
